Guiltfree Chocolate Icecream by Catherine Arnold Nutrition

It was a bit of a revelation to me that i could make icecream in my blender! Just 2 ingredients – and it takes a few minutes to make. How lovely to know you are only ever a few minutes away from homemade GUILTFREE icecream!

You can nutrient-it-up if you want and add hemp powder for some protein or maca powder for an energy punch, spirulina for some green goodness. Or you could just enjoy it as it is. You do need a good blender (I am lucky enough to have a vitamix but a nutribullet should do it too) and it helps to make sure the banana is frozen in small chunks as its easier to blend then. If you don’t fancy chocolate, use frozen mango pieces, frozen orange, frozen strawberries – you get the picture!


2 frozen bananas – frozen in 1-2 inch chunks

2 tbsp raw cacao powder


Put the banana chunks and cacao into a high speed blender, whizz up, stopping periodically to scrape down the sides but working quickly so it doesn’t start melting! Once its all combined and soft, scoop out and eat immediately!
