I work with private laboratories who offer a huge variety of tests. Some highlight biochemical imbalances or nutritional deficiencies, others give an overview of body systems such as cardiovascular health, digestive function and hormone health.
There are also genetic tests which can highlight gene mutations that affect certain biochemical pathways in the body and which could put you at more risk of disease. This information is incredibly helpful and means I can create a bespoke plan for you that really works. These tests are only available via a practitioner as they require analysis and understanding of biochemistry and nutrition science to address the results.
Below are some of the tests I frequently use with my clients, there are lots more we can use depending on your unique health issues. These tests are only available to people who I am working with as part of a consultation programme. For more information on which tests would be appropriate for you, get in touch for a free 15 minute discovery call, hit the ‘book a consultation’ button bottom right to email me now.

Lifecode GX – Genetic Tests
You inherit your DNA from your parents, it’s what makes you unique, your hair colour, eye colour etc it also affects your health. Genes, are segments of DNA, and this is what we look at with Lifecode GX genetic testing.
Small but important differences in our genetic make-up (‘SNPs’- single nucleotide polymorphisms or ‘snips’) can have a significant impact on how our body functions – from hormones to heart, metabolism to mental health, stress and anxiety and much more. However, your genes don’t determine your health destiny as they are influenced by the environment. Stress, nutrient deficiencies, sleep and toxic exposure can all influence whether some genes are turned on or off or alter the way they are expressed. The impact of the environment on your genes is called epigenetics. Whereas nutrigenomics is the study of how diet effects the way your genes are expressed.
DNA testing with Lifecode GX can help us to understand more about your specific nutrient needs to support optimal function of your body systems. It will help us understand more about your food intolerances/allergies and how your body metabolises hormones, vitamins and neurotransmitters. It can also tell you if you are predisposed to certain conditions, so we can work on prevention. Nutrigenomic testing enables us to look in detail at our DNA, so we can understand our unique personal health ‘blueprint’.
I am a Lifecode Gx practitioner – and use their range of specialist nutrigenomics test panels to inform how nutrition and lifestyle factors impact my client’s genetic potential, so we can make positive changes that align with our genes to optimise health and well being.
To give an example, if you have a SNP on your vitamin D receptor gene then it might mean your requirements for vitamin D are higher than someone else. Vitamin D is important for calcium regulation and bone health but if its low it can also affect energy and immune function. If you have a SNP on your CYP1B1 gene then it might mean you process your oestrogen down a more carcinogenic pathway which could make you more at risk of breast cancer. A snp on your COMT gene could mean your body might take longer to recover from stressful situations – which long term impacts your health.
This is where the personalised medicine becomes very interesting and we can really target supplements and foods to support your specific genetic situation to improve your health.
