Chocolate Almond 'Ferrero Roche' Balls by Catherine Arnold Nutrition

I call these my healthy ‘Ferrero Roche’ balls! They are an ideal post workout snack and a fabulous way to beat those afternoon sugar cravings.

Makes approx 20 – 25 balls

Ingredients:

5 tbsp. almond butter

3 tbsp. cacao

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp. Chia seeds

1 tbsp protein powder / hemp powder

2 tbsp raw honey (or preferred sweetener)

3 tbsp coconut flour

1 cup of almonds, roughly broken up in a pestle and mortar

Method:

Combine all ingredients apart from the almond pieces into a large bowl. Using a fork, mix completely until it forms a dough which is firm enough to roll into small balls about the size of a walnut. Roll the balls in the almond pieces and place the balls on baking paper on a plate.

You can eat them right away but they are best if you put them in the fridge for 30 minutes or longer term keep them in the freezer.
